HC Deb 12 May 1904 vol 134 c1157
MR. YERBURGH (Chester)

To ask the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs in what position the negotiations with the Chinese Government concerning the railways of the Pekin Syndicate now stand.

(Answered by Earl Percy.) The only railway with regard to which the Pekin Syndicate is negotiating is the Taokow Tsechow Railway. The negotiations at Shanghai between the agent of the Syndicate and the Director-General of Railways are still proceeding.
