THE MASTER OF ELIBANK (Edinburgh, Midlothian)

To ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has received any information from the Governor-General of Australia regarding the disturbances in British New Guinea; and, if so, whether he can make any statement in the matter.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Lyttelton.) I received a telegram from the Governor-General of Australia on the 10th May stating that he was forwarding a despatch by mail giving particulars regarding the recent disturbances in British New Guinea.
