HC Deb 11 May 1904 vol 134 c1017
MR. FIELD (Dublin, St. Patrick)

I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he can state when the Report of the Royal Commission on Bovine Tuberculosis is likely to be issued; whether he can arrange that it will be available for the use of the Select Committee to whom the Tuberculosis (Animals) Compensation Bill has been referred; and whether he can state when that Committee will be appointed.

THE SECRETARY TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. GRANT LAWSON, Yorkshire, N.R., Thirsk)

I believe that the Royal Commission on Tuberculosis do not expect to be able to make their final Report for a considerable time, but I understand that they now propose to make an interim Report which they trust will be issued before Whitsuntide. It will thus be available for the use of the Select Committee referred to in the Question. That Committee will, I hope, be appointed this week.
