HC Deb 11 May 1904 vol 134 c1021
MR. ROCHE (Galway, E.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that on the 6th March last a gun belonging to Mr. Martin Jennings, of Killamonagh, Caherlestrane, county Galway, was seized by the police sergeant; and, if so, whether, seeing that Jennings had both a magistrate's and Excise licence, he will state if the gun has been returned, and, if not, will he explain why.

MR. WYNDHAM

The licence extends only to the farm of Mr. Jennings. He was found using the weapon outside this area and it was seized and became forfeited. If he makes formal application to the Lord-Lieutenant it will be restored to him.
