HC Deb 10 May 1904 vol 134 cc893-4
MR. WEIR

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware that it is proposed to inoculate dogs with smallpox virus at the Joyce Green Smallpox Hospital; will he say how many dogs will be inoculated, and whether more than one experiment will be carried out on each dog.

* THE SECRETARYOF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. AKERS-DOUGLAS, Kent, St. Augustine's)

No application has yet been made to me for permission to make any such experiments as are indicated in the Question; and I have nothing to add to the answer on the same subject which I gave to the hon. Member for Northampton last Thursday.†
