HC Deb 04 May 1904 vol 134 c373
MR. LEVESON-GOWER (Sutherland)

To ask the Postmaster-General whether he has considered the position of the night messengers employed in the principal telegraph offices in Scotland with regard to salary and pension; and, if so, what decision he has come to.

(Answered by Lord Stanley.) I have considered the question of the pay of the night telegraph messengers employed at the principal offices in Scotland, and I see no reason for increasing it. As these posts are unestablished, their occupants are not eligible for pension.
