HC Deb 04 May 1904 vol 134 cc390-1
MR. FIELD

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has received a resolution from the secretary of the Irish Cattle Traders' and Stock Owners' Association condemning the introduction of Galloway bulls into Ireland; and, if so, whether he will represent to the Department of Agriculture the views of those who represent the opinion of the live stock trade, and see that they are carried into effect.

MR. WYNDHAM

The selection of the breed of bulls under the Department's live stock schemes is left to local people who, unless in special circumstances, have not so far asked to be allowed to purchase bulls of the Galloway breed.
