HC Deb 28 March 1904 vol 132 c817
CAPTAIN DONELAN

To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether he is aware that grocery contractors to the Navy in the Cork Harbour district now include drapery goods in their supplies; and whether steps will be taken to put a stop to this practice.

(Answered by Mr. Pretyman.) As no contracts for groceries for His Majesty's ships at Queenstown are made at the Admiralty, the Question probably has reference to contracts for supplies to the canteens, the responsibility with regard to which rests with the Canteen Committees.
