§ CAPTAIN DONELANTo ask the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether he is aware that grocery contractors to the troops in the Cork district now include drapery goods in their supplies; and whether steps will betaken to put a stop to this practice.
(Answered by Mr. Bromley Davenport.) A very small trade is done in towels, 825 handkerchiefs, braces, web belts, needles, pins, and a few other small articles. It is not proposed to put a stop to the practice, as by it, the troops are supplied with good articles at the lowest possible price.
