§ MR. WOODI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he has received a request from the inhabitants of The Milltown, Shaws Bridge, county Down, for the establishment of a police barrack in that district; and, if so, whether, in view of the fact that the population in the district is over 2,000 and the nearest police barrack is five miles distant, steps will be taken to establish police barracks as requested.
§ MR. WYNDHAMNo representations to this effect have been received from the inhabitants of the district. But an application was received from the High Sheriff on behalf of the manager of a manufacturing company at Shaws Bridge. The matter is under consideration.
