EVELYN CECIL (Aston Manor)I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury what steps His Majesty's Government propose to take to carry out the recommendation of the Steamship Subsidies Committee, that a subsidy for establishing direct British communication with East Africa should be favourably considered, in view of special Imperial considerations and the handicapping of British trade in that quarter by foreign subsidised steamship lines.
