MR. HERBERT ROBERTSI beg to ask the Secretary to the Board of Education whether he will state the grounds upon which the Board of Education has issued a notification to the Clerk of the Denbighshire County Council further postponing the appointed day, under the Education Act, 1902, from 1st April to 1st June, in Denbighshire.
§ SIR WILLIAM ANSONThe Board have received official information that the Denbighshire County Council have passed a resolution "not to apply any rate for the support of voluntary schools within the county unless such schools are handed over unconditionally to the education authority for the area within the jurisdiction of the Denbighshire County Council." The Board have postponed the appointed day on account of this declared intention of the county council not to carry out the Act in its integrity.
