To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is now in a position to give the names of the rural district councils in Ireland which have adopted the Public Libraries Act.

(Answered by Mr. Wyndham.) It has been necessary to address inquiries to 213 rural district councils, and replies have not yet been received from all. The desired information will be communicated to the hon. Member as soon as it is complete.
