HC Deb 09 March 1904 vol 131 c581
DR. AMBROSE (Mayo, W)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he can state the cause of delay in the sale to the Congested Districts Board of the Lucan Estate, in the parish of Kilmeena, near Westport, county Mayo; and whether, seeing that the emigration season is setting in, he will use his influence with the Board with a view to the speedy purchase of this estate, and its division among the inhabitants of the surrounding district who are in need of larger holdings.

MR. WYNDHAM

It is believed that the solicitor for the vendor will be able to complete the sale of this estate without delay. When this has been done it will be resold by the Board to the tenants.
