WEIRI beg to ask the Secretary of State for India if he will state how many Government officials and how many non-officials were on the Committee on the Indian Official Secrets Bill; and, seeing that the Committee consisted mainly of Government officials, will he say if any non-official members were in favour of the measure, and, if any how many.
§ MR. BRODRICKThe select Committee consisted of five officials and four non-officials. All the members of the Committee signed the Report in favour of the measure; but three of the non-official members dissented in regard to two points in the revised draft.
