§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIA (Mr. BRODRICK,) Surrey, GuildfordA scheme for a railway, sixty-one miles in length, from Hyderabad in Sind to Badin, which, if continued, would form part of a through communication between Bombay and Karachi, was sanctioned in May, 1903, and progress is being made with its construction. Beyond surveys, no further steps have been taken for completing the through line of communication, and I am unable to say when the work is likely to be undertaken.
