§ MR. STUART-WORTLEYTo ask the President of the Board of Trade when it will be possible to give the total for 1903 of values of exports of manufactured and partly manufactured goods from the United Kingdom to principal protected foreign countries, in continuation of, and on the same basis as, the figures given at pages 21–2 of the Blue-book, Cd. 1761.
(Answered by Mr. Gerald Balfour.) It will not be possible to give the figures referred to by my right hon. friend before the completion of the "Annual Statement of Trade" for 1903, that is, for some months yet. The value of the total exports of British produce and manufactures to the "principal protected 44 foreign countries," included in the Memorandum referred to, was £106,000,000 in 1903, compared with £104,700,000 in 1902.
