HC Deb 03 March 1904 vol 131 cc74-5
MR. FFRENCH (Wexford, S.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has received a copy of a resolution passed by the Wexford County Council recommending that the unappropriated portion of the Equivalent Grant be applied to the heating, cleansing, and proper sanitary fitting up of primary schools in Ireland; and whether he proposes to apply this sum to this purpose as well as the increase of inadequate school staffs and encouragement of education by a system of school prizes for attendance and proficiency.

MR. WYNDHAM

The manner in which it is proposed to allocate this money will be shown in the Development Grant Estimate shortly to be laid before Parliament.
