I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will state when he proposes to introduce the Bill to amend the Workmen's Compensation for Accidents Act; and whether any endeavour will be made to pass the Bill this session.

As I have already intimated in reply to a previous Question from the hon. Member.† I can make no definite statement as to the date of the introduction of the Bill until I have † See (4) Debates, cxxxiii., 531. received and considered the Report of the Committee which has been inquiring into the subject. I understand that the Committee have found the inquiry more laborious than was anticipated, but they have now been at work for some time on their Report, and I hope it may be in my hands within the next few weeks.
