§ MR. THOMAS O'DONNELL
I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland when estates 28 adjoining the sea, the banks of which before sale were kept in order by the landlord, are sold to the tenants, what authority will be responsible for the proper upkeep of those banks during the next sixty-eight and a half years.
§ MR. WYNDHAM
In cases not coming within Section 4 of the Land Act of 1903 the tenant purchasers should keep up these embankments for their own protection. There is no obligation on the landlord or the State to do so.
