§ MR. MURPHYI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland what is the amount estimated for 1904–5 for new officers appointed under the Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction, and the sum required to cover travelling expenses for same; and what is the additional amount that will be required for salaries and expenses of transferred officers.
§ MR. WYNDHAMFor the salaries of new officers appointed since the establishment of the Department a sum of £25,469 is provided. The provision for their travelling expenses and subsistence allowances amounts to £5,050. In respect of officers transferred to the Department the provision for salaries amounts to £47,335, and for travelling and other allowances £2,950.
