To ask the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can state what steps have now been taken to effectuate the recommendations, as modified by the Secretary of State, of the Report presented last July of the Committee appointed to inquire into the constitution of the Consular Service.

(Answered by Earl Percy.) Regulations have been framed, subject to slight modifications by the Secretary of State, on the lines of the recommendations of the Committee, and it is intended to introduce them at once.
