To ask the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs is the £1,000 estimated for Colonel Fairholme's special service on the staff of the Macedonian Gendarmerie Commission intended to be paid to him alone, or distributed between him and the other three officers.

(Answered by Earl Percy.) The £1,000 estimated for Colonel Fairholme's special service as British staff officer to assist in the reorganisation of the Macedonian Gendarmerie represent the yearly salary paid to him by His Majesty's Government.
