HC Deb 23 June 1904 vol 136 cc1000-1
MR. BOLAND (Kerry, S.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can give any assurance that, in preparing the Estimates for next year, provision will be made for an increase of the staff in the Natural History Museum of Dublin, in view of the representations which have already been made, and of the arrears into which the work of classifying and arranging recent acquisitions has fallen.

MR. WYNDHAM

The question of the sufficiency of the Museum staff has been investigated by the Department, which will shortly submit its proposals in the matter to the Treasury for consideration. The hon. Member will see, therefore, that until the decision of the Treasury has been taken I cannot make any announcement in the matter.
