(1)Exports and Imports in tens of rupees—

Ireland whether he is aware that some years ago the Corporation of Drogheda granted £100 per annum to the mayor for the purpose of renovating and maintaining the Magdalene Tower, an ancient monument in Drogheda; and if he can say the total amount spent upon this object together with the number of years that has elapsed since the grant was made.

(Answered by Mr. Wyndham.)This monument is not vested in the Commissioners of the Public Works or under their guardianship. I understand that in 1891 the Corporation voted a sum of £100 a year for the purposes of maintaining the monument in good repair; but that payment of the amount has not since been made.
