SIR WALTER FOSTER (Derbyshire, Ilkeston)To ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he will communicate with the Registrar-General with a view to the issue of an order to the registrars of births and deaths to place every week in a convenient position in their offices, accessible to the public, a list of deaths registered by them with the date of death in each case, but not specifying the causes of death, so that the public may be informed of the names of persons whose deaths are registered in each registration district.
(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) I have communicated with the Registrar-General on this subject, and I find that it would not be practicable to give effect to the suggestion of the hon. Member apart from any question of the expediency of so doing.
