HC Deb 14 June 1904 vol 136 cc25-6
MR. SHEEHY (Meath, S.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Estates Commissioners have sanctioned the sale in the Land Judge's Court of the White Estate, in Clare, although the farm held by Michael Moloney, an evicted tenant, has not been sold to him; and whether, seeing that Moloney has been excluded from buying by the Receiver demanding two and a half years arrears of rent and costs, in addition to the price which was placed on the farm, the Commissioners have power to withhold their sanction of the sale, or can they in any way assist Moloney to purchase his farm on terms similar to those agreed to between the occupying tenants and the Receiver.

MR. WYNDHAM

This estate has not come defore the Estates Commissioners to be dealt with. The Land Judge's Court is in communication with the Receiver on the subject, and I regret to have to ask the hon. Member again to postpone the Question till Thursday next.
