§ SIR H. CAMPBELL-BANNERMANMay I ask what the general business next week will be, and what particular first-class Bill will be the subject of the debate?
§ MR. A. J. BALFOURIt has been generally expected—and I see no reason for disappointing the expectation—that the Scotch Education Bill will be the 1082 first business, and the Port of London Bill will be taken next. I cannot make any statement at present as to the Supply to be taken on Thursday next week. Friday next week is the last private Members' Friday. With regard to the Supply to be taken to-morrow, in accordance with a request made to me through the authorised channels, I propose to put down the Foreign Office Vote first, the Diplomatic and Consular Vote next, and after that some Votes in Class I. and Reports of Supply.
§ SIR H. CAMPBELL-BANNERMANHas the right hon. Gentleman any peculiar mean a of knowing that the Scotch and Metropolitan Members are the Members least likely to go to Ascot?
§ MR. A. J. BALFOURI hope that the love of sport is equally diffused over all parts of the House.
§ DR. FARQUHARSON (Aberdeenshire, W.)Will the right hon. Gentleman continue the discussion of the Scotch Education Bill de die in diem.
§ MR. A. J. BALFOURNo, Sir; I cannot promise to go on with the Bill through all eternity. If we do not finish it on Monday we shall take it on Tuesday. I think that looking forward for a week is as much as any Leader of the House can be called upon to do.
