The CHAIRMAN OF WAYS AND MEANS informed the House that the Committee on Group I of Private Bills, not being appointed to meet until Wednesday, 8th June, the parties opposing the Local Government Provisional Order Confirmation (No. 4) Bill (Portsmouth Order) had appeared before him and proved that the evidence of Mr. Mosely Somers Gardner, Surgeon General Faught, Mr. Edwin Bradshaw, and Mr. George Ebenezer Stares was essential to their case; and that their attendance could not be procured without the intervention of the House. Ordered, That Mr. Mosely Somers Gardner, Surgeon General Taught, Mr. Edwin Bradshaw, and Mr. George Ebenezer Stares do attend the Committee on Group I of Private Bills Tomorrow, at half-past Eleven of the o'clock.
