HC Deb 28 July 1904 vol 138 c1450
SIR JOHN ROLLESTON (Leicester)

To ask the Secretary of State for India whether he will state the value of boots and shoes and hosiery imported into India since the last Budget statement, and the countries of origin, which is omitted from the published accounts 1904–5.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) The annual Trade Returns for 1903–4 have not yet been received and the monthly Returns do not show the imports of hosiery separately, and do not give the countries of origin in respect of the imports of boots and shoes. From the 1st April, 1903, to the end of May, 1904, the total value of boots and shoes imported into India was £235,944.
