S.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the position of superintendent of the statistical section of the Department of Agriculture in Ireland, now vacant for eight months, has yet been filled up; and, if not, whether, in the event of its being 1476 considered necessary to fill this position at all, it is intended to appoint to it an Irishman.
