§ MAJOR SEELY (Isle of Wight)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether an Act to legalise the transit of indentured Asiatic labourers through the colony of Natal has recently been passed by the Natal Legislature; if so, will he say what was the date of the passing of such Act; and will a copy be laid upon the Table.
§ MR. LYTTELTONA Bill to regulate the transit of immigrants through Natal to other British South African Colonies passed through the Natal Legislative Council on 16th June, but I have not yet received it in its final form. I will lay a copy when I receive it.
