§ THE FINANCIAL SECRETARY TO THE WAR OFFICE (Mr. BROMLEY DAVENPORT, Cheshire, Macclesfield)The annual cost of the present garrison in South Africa is about £3,100,000. The capital expenditure incurred up to 31st March last on barracks and hutments is approximately £2,550,000.

§ MR. WHITLEYCan the hon. Gentleman give an estimate of how much more is to be spent?
