§ MR. MACVEAGH (Down, S.)I beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that the leading physicians and the medical officers of health of the United Kingdom have unanimously condemned the consumption of immature raw potable spirits as injurious to the health of those who drink them; and whether be will take steps to compulsorily retain such spirits in bond for a period of at least three years, as is done in Canada and other countries.

With regard to the latter part of the Question, I must ask the hon.
