To ask the Secretary of State for War whether it is intended, under the new Army Scheme, to furnish the required drafts for India from the proposed new depots; and if he can state the conditions to be imposed as to age and length of training before the recruits can be sent abroad.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Arnold-Forster.) The reply to the first part of the Question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part of the Question, the minimum age for Indian drafts will be twenty and the length of training six months.
