§ MR. SLOANI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that the four head constables stationed in Cork are Roman Catholics; and, if so, whether he will consider the advisability of enforcing the regulation that at least one of them should be a Protestant.
§ MR. WYNDHAMIt was recently arranged that one of the head constables should be transferred to another county, and the man selected to replace him is a Protestant. There is no regulation to the effect stated in the Question.
