§ The CHAIRMAN OF WAYS AND MEANS informed the House that the Committee on Group M of Private Bills, not being appointed to meet until Tuesday the 19th July, the parties promoting the Newcastle and Gateshead Water Bill [Lords] had appeared before him and proved that the evidence of Dr. John William Hembrough, Medical Officer of Health for the Northumberland County Council. Newcastle, was essential to their case; and that his attendance could not be procured without the intervention of the House.
§ Ordered, That Dr. John William Hembrough do attend the Committee on Group M of Private Bills upon Tuesday next, at half-past Eleven of the clock.
