HC Deb 08 July 1904 vol 137 cc1092-3
MR. WHITMORE (Chelsea)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the refusal of the London †See (4) Debates, cxxxvi, 493. County Council to take charge of the two guns allotted to London by the War Office, he will take steps in conjunction with the First Commissioner of Works to have them placed in some suitable public position.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Arnold-Forster.). No letter has been received from the London County Council refusing the guns allotted to that body, but, should such a refusal be received, the guns would be allotted to some other town within the boundary of the Fourth Army Corps.
