To ask the hon. Member for Chorley, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, if he will state what has become of a number of bronze lions which were along the line of railings in front of the British Museum, and which were removed to widen the footway.

(Answered by Lord Balcarres.) Twelve lions were removed to St. Paul's Cathedral with the concurrence of the Trustees of the British Museum; the remainder are at the Museum, in charge of the Trustees.
