HC Deb 05 July 1904 vol 137 c634
MR. MOON (St. Pancras, N.)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the changes now taking place in the Army Finance Department, he proposes to offer special terms of retirement, as has been done under similar circumstances in the past, to chief paymasters and staff paymasters of the Army Pay Department, who might elect to retire in preference to serving under new conditions.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Arnold-Forster.) The scheme for the formation of the Army Accounts Branch is at present under consideration, and I regret that I am, therefore, unable to make any announcement on the subject of the retirement of officials at the present time.
