HC Deb 05 July 1904 vol 137 c635
MR. BUCHANAN (Ferthshire, E.)

To ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies what were the resolutions finally arrived at by the Inter-Colonial Council for the improvement of railway administration and securing a stricter financial control; whether they have been accepted by Lord Milner and the Government; and whether in coneequence it will be necessary to alter the Orders in Council.

(Answered by Air. Secretary Lyttelton.) I have not yet received from Lord Milner the final proceedings of the Inter-Colonial Council on this subject. Lord Milner has informed me by telegraph that he will submit to me shortly his proposals arising out of those proceedings.
