§ MR. WILLIAM ABRAHAM (Cork County, N.E.)
I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state how many applications for reinstatement have been received by the Estates Commissioners from evicted tenants in Cork county since November last; and, if any independent action will be taken by the Estates Commissioners by means of which some of these evicted tenants may be reinstated during the approaching spring.
§ MR. WYNDHAM
Four hundred and twenty-nine such applications have been received. Upon the sale of estates in 1247 the county the inspectors have instructions to report on these applications with a view to the reinstatement of evicted tenants.
