HC Deb 29 February 1904 vol 130 cc1241-2
MR. BOLAND

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been called to the Report of the Board of Visitors of the Dublin Natural History Museum, in which it it stated, page 414, that the staff has not been increased during the past twenty-five years; whether he is aware that attention has been repeatedly called to this want of additional assistance in previous years; and whether, in view of the fact that catalogues and guides cannot be prepared and that the work of sorting and classifying the specimens is largely at a standstill for want of more skilled help, he will provide permanent Additional assistance as has been done in the case of the British Museum.

MR. WYNDHAM

The question of the sufficiency of the staff of the Natural History Museum is at present engaging the consideration of the new Department.
