HC Deb 25 February 1904 vol 130 c994
MR. T. W. RUSSELL

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland the number and status of the clerks at the disposal of the Estates Commissioners; and if it is the intention of the Government to carry on the work of the Department in the seven-roomed house now occupied by the Commission.

MR. WYNDHAM

The indoor establishment consists of a secretary, an assistant-secretary, and two assistant examiners; two first-class clerks, three second-class clerks, seven second division clerks, nine third-class clerks, and eight temporary clerks. There has been some unavoidable difficulty in providing sufficient accommodation, but arrangements have now been made for placing two houses at the early disposal of the Commissioners, Nos. 25 and 26, Upper Merrion Street.

MR. KILBRIDE

Have they been merely nominated?

MR. DELANY (Queen's County, Ossory)

And are they all land agents?

[No answer was returned.]
