HC Deb 24 February 1904 vol 130 c838
MR. MARSHALL HALL (Lancashire, Southport)

To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, in view of the fact that County Court Judges during temporary absence from illness or other cause are compelled to find, and pay out of their own pockets, the deputies who sit for them, whether he will introduce a Bill to relieve them from this burden.

(Answered by Mr. Austen Chamberlain.) Any legislation by the Government in relation to the County Courts will be in the hands of the Lord Chancellor, to whom I will communicate the hon. and learned Member's suggestions.
