HC Deb 23 February 1904 vol 130 cc714-5
MR. WEIR

To ask the Secretary for Scotland, having regard to the fact that thousands of ratepayers in Scotland who are entitled to vote for the Parliamentary representative, and at county and parish council elections, have no vote for school board elections by reason of their rentals being less than £4, will he consider the expediency of introducing legislation such as will place the school board electorate on a more satisfactory footing.

(Answered by Mr. A. Graham Murray.) I have already given notice of a Bill relating to education in Scotland, and must decline to make any statement on the subject until I have an opportunity of introducing that Bill.
