HC Deb 22 February 1904 vol 130 cc546-7
MR. CLANCY (Dublin County, N.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland if he will explain why no funds are available for the completion of the pier at Loughshinny, county of Dublin, seeing that it appears from the latest report of the Irish Board of Works that there were, on the 31st March, 1903, funds to the amount of £12,450, to meet the cost of works in progress and of any additional works to be undertaken under the Sea Fisheries Act, under which the existing Lough-shinny works have been constructed.

(Answered by Mr. Wyndham.) The available balance of the Sea Fisheries Fund at the present date is only £7,330. This money will be required to meet the necessities of fishing centres of relatively greater importance than Loughshinny.
