HC Deb 19 February 1904 vol 130 cc450-1
MR. WEIR (Ross and Cromarty)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that although the depot of the 3rd Battalion Seaforth Highlanders (Ross-shire Militia) is nominally at Dingwall, part of the staff only is stationed in that town, the arms and clothing of the battalion being kept at Fort George, where the battalion is trained; and will he consider the expediency of arranging for the erection of barracks in the vicinity of Dingwall so that the whole of the battalion may be accommodated near the county town.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Arnold-Forster.) There is no present intention of building barracks at Dingwall.
