§ MR. J. P. FARRELL (Longford, N.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether any application has been made to the Local Government Board to remit a surcharge of £4 11s. on three rural district councillors of Granard Union has been received; and, if so, whether, having regard to the fact that this money was paid bonâfide by the guardians in the same way in which they had paid similar sums for many years, he will recommend the Board to remit the surcharge.
