BOLAND (Kerry, S.)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will lay upon the Table of the House the text of the Bill introduced in the Council of Malta on 3rd February, purporting to amend the law relating to the election of members of the Council; and whether, in view of the fact that on the same day notice was given that a new general election will shortly be held, he will now publish the correspondence that has taken place.
§ * MR. LYTTELTONI am not aware that a Bill was introduced in the Malta Council of Government on the 3rd of February for the purpose stated in the Question. I do not consider that any useful purpose would be served by 1027 publishing the correspondence in question at present, and I do not propose to do so.
